So people choose sides and push for a specifically favored course of action. They try to influence both membership and vote to protect compliance. But not every ring is shared by all those in the same circle. This is essentially a political action that is designed to recruit adherence which reduces the fear of the membership. That’s what doesn’t feel good to you when you feel the social pressures exerted on you by politics.

You risk belonging when you to accept the rules of any particular circle despite it also conflicts with being a republican woman that supports the rights of girls to receive the same access to college scholarships. Belonging to a protective group has built-in compromises, often with unwritten rules expressed only by interpersonal politics and sometimes weird interpretations.

I listen to Red Dirt Texas music.

It's a mashup of country and rock and most of the artists are from Texas, Oklahoma, and West Louisiana. It's authentic. The artists and bands mostly write and produce their own music. That won't fly in corporate Nashville. They wouldn't have control. I hate to say it but my entire list of favorite artists today is male-centric. Shouldn't be because I grew up on music from Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Brenda Lee, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Crystal Gayle, Janie Fricke, Reba McEntire, and the Judds, just to name a few. Today, I listen to Whiskey Myers, Randy Rogers Band, Cody Jinks, Blackberry Smoke, Turnpike Troubadours, Robert Earl Keen, Roger Creager, Reckless Kelly, and Sturgill with a generous helping of old school country. Lots of Merle (first concert my daddy took me to in 1972), Waylon, Willie, Cash, Kris, Mac Davis, Bobby Bare, Don Williams, John Conlee, Charley Pride, and, of course, George Jones. Not being able to fall in love . That is the most difficult thing in love . It might sound ridiculous but this is THE most difficult thing as far as I have experienced.
